Al-Anam
۞قُلۡ تَعَالَوۡاْ أَتۡلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمۡ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ أَلَّا تُشۡرِكُواْ بِهِۦ شَيۡٔٗاۖ وَبِٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ إِحۡسَٰنٗاۖ وَلَا تَقۡتُلُوٓاْ أَوۡلَٰدَكُم مِّنۡ إِمۡلَٰقٖ نَّحۡنُ نَرۡزُقُكُمۡ وَإِيَّاهُمۡۖ وَلَا تَقۡرَبُواْ ٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَمَا بَطَنَۖ وَلَا تَقۡتُلُواْ ٱلنَّفۡسَ ٱلَّتِي حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ
151[O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Say: “Come, I will recite to you things (i.e. whose disobedience your Creator has made unlawful for you. (Firstly) don’t join anything in worship with Allah. (Secondly) treat your parents graciously. (Thirdly) don’t kill your children with fear of poverty – We (Allah) provide sustenance for you and for them. (Fourthly) don’t go even close to obscene activities – committed openly or secretly. (Fifthly) don’t kill anyone whom Allah has forbidden, except with just cause. Allah has commanded you this so that you may understand it (and act upon it).
