Al-Baqarah
۞يَسَۡٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡأَهِلَّةِۖ قُلۡ هِيَ مَوَٰقِيتُ لِلنَّاسِ وَٱلۡحَجِّۗ وَلَيۡسَ ٱلۡبِرُّ بِأَن تَأۡتُواْ ٱلۡبُيُوتَ مِن ظُهُورِهَا وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلۡبِرَّ مَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰۗ وَأۡتُواْ ٱلۡبُيُوتَ مِنۡ أَبۡوَٰبِهَاۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ
189They ask you about the (benefits of changes in size of) new moon. Say: “These are signs to mark fixed periods of time for the people (e.g. monthly course, rights, etc) and also for Hajj (Zakat and fasting etc).” It is not an act of piety that you enter your houses from rear (while you are in ihram or without it). True piety is to fear Allah. Hence, enter your houses through their (front) doors and fear Allah so that you may be successful.
