Al-Baqarah
ٱلشَّهۡرُ ٱلۡحَرَامُ بِٱلشَّهۡرِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ وَٱلۡحُرُمَٰتُ قِصَاصٞۚ فَمَنِ ٱعۡتَدَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَٱعۡتَدُواْ عَلَيۡهِ بِمِثۡلِ مَا ٱعۡتَدَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
194The sacred month is for the sacred month and for the forbidden things there is a Law of Equality (i.e. if disbelievers violate a truce agreement, then you can also violate it, to punish them). So who-ever transgresses against you, you transgress against him also in the same manner as he transgressed against you. And observe piety. And bear in mind that Allah is with pious persons.
