About the Surah

       And they ask you concerning menstruation. Say: “It is an unclean situation. Keep away from your wives during menstruation and don’t go close to them (i.e. do not have sex with them) till they are clean. So when they are clean (from menstruation) feel free to have sexual relation with them the way Allah has permitted you (i.e. from the front). Indeed, Allah loves those who turn to Him in repen-tance constantly and loves those who care for and keep up for the cleanliness.”
