Al-Baqarah
وَٱلَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوۡنَ مِنكُمۡ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزۡوَٰجٗا وَصِيَّةٗ لِّأَزۡوَٰجِهِم مَّتَٰعًا إِلَى ٱلۡحَوۡلِ غَيۡرَ إِخۡرَاجٖۚ فَإِنۡ خَرَجۡنَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فِي مَا فَعَلۡنَ فِيٓ أَنفُسِهِنَّ مِن مَّعۡرُوفٖۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٞ
240And those of you who die and leave behind wives, they should leave their personal estate by will for their wives consisting of one year’s maintenance and residence without turning them out (from the residence). However, if the wives leave on their own, there is no sin for you that which they do for themselves in an honourable manner. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
