About the Surah

       So when Talut started his journey with his army, he said: “Indeed, Allah is going to test you by a river. Whoever drinks water from it, he is not from me, and whoever does not taste it, is from me except he may take the water of the river in the hollow of his palm.” All of them drank that water with the exception of a very few. When he (Talut) crossed the river along with the believers, they said: “We do not have the power to face Jalut and his army.” (However), those who firmly believed that they would meet Allah, said: “How often a small group overcame a powerful group with Allah’s Permission?” And Allah is with patient people.
