Al-Baqarah
فَهَزَمُوهُم بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُۥدُ جَالُوتَ وَءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُۥ مِمَّا يَشَآءُۗ وَلَوۡلَا دَفۡعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعۡضَهُم بِبَعۡضٖ لَّفَسَدَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
251Hence, they defeated them (the army of Jalut) by Allah’s Permission and Dawud ( ) killed Jalut and Allah gave him [Dawud ( )] the kingdom (after the death of Talut) and Prophethood and taught him what He willed. And if Allah did not get rid of one group of people with the help of other group, mischief would have spread in the land. But Allah is full of bounty to the entire universe.
