Al-Baqarah
إِن تُبۡدُواْ ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ فَنِعِمَّا هِيَۖ وَإِن تُخۡفُوهَا وَتُؤۡتُوهَا ٱلۡفُقَرَآءَ فَهُوَ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡۚ وَيُكَفِّرُ عَنكُم مِّن سَئَِّاتِكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٞ
271If you make charity openly, it is fine. However, if you make charity secretly and deliver it to the poor, that is better for you and Allah will forgive some of your sins (due to its blessing). And Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.
