Al-Hashr
مَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱبۡنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ كَيۡ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةَۢ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡأَغۡنِيَآءِ مِنكُمۡۚ وَمَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَىٰكُمۡ عَنۡهُ فَٱنتَهُواْۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ
7(Similarly) the booty (Fai) which Allah gives to His Mes-senger from other communities, it is for Allah, His Messenger [Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)], the relatives of the Mes-senger [Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)], orphans, the needy and travellers (and it is not to be distributed among the participants of the expedition), in order that it may not keep circulating among the rich among you (as it was at the time of ignorance). Hence, whatsoever the Messenger [Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it). And fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is severe in punishment.
