Al-Isra
وَمَنۡ أَرَادَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ وَسَعَىٰ لَهَا سَعۡيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنٞ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ كَانَ سَعۡيُهُم مَّشۡكُورٗا
19And whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it as should be done (i.e. according to the Quran and Sunnah) and also he is a believer, then the effort on the part of such persons will be appreciated. [Hence, there are four pre-requisites for the acceptance of a deed. (i) Intention (ii) Action (iii) Correct action according to the Quran and Sunnah (iv) Belief]
