Al-Muminun
ثُمَّ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلنُّطۡفَةَ عَلَقَةٗ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡعَلَقَةَ مُضۡغَةٗ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡمُضۡغَةَ عِظَٰمٗا فَكَسَوۡنَا ٱلۡعِظَٰمَ لَحۡمٗا ثُمَّ أَنشَأۡنَٰهُ خَلۡقًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحۡسَنُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقِينَ
14Then We made it into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We changed it into a lump of flesh, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We made it into another form and shape (i.e. a child with hearing, sight etc.). So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! (Some modern embryologists have embraced Islam inspired by this Verse). (Also Surah At-Tin:4)
14The reason for descending the verse
On the authority of `A’isha the mother of the believers,she said(when the slanderers said what they said about her),“I went to my bed knowing at that time that I was innocent and that Allah would reveal my innocence, but by Allah, I never thought that Allah would reveal in my favour a revelation which would be recited, for I considered myself too unimportant to be talked about by Allah in the Divine Revelation that was to be recited.” So Allah revealed the ten verses (of surah An-Nur).
