Al-Mum-tahanah
لَّا يَنۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ فِي ٱلدِّينِ وَلَمۡ يُخۡرِجُوكُم مِّن دِيَٰرِكُمۡ أَن تَبَرُّوهُمۡ وَتُقۡسِطُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُقۡسِطِينَ
8Allah does not forbid you to deal graciously and justly with those who did not fight against you regarding your religion, nor expel- you from your homes. Indeed, Allah loves those who deal justly.
8The reason for descending the verse
'Abd Allah ibn Al-Zubayr narrated from his father, “Qutaylah bint 'Abd al-'Uzza went to visit her daughter Asma' bint Abi Bakr and took with her gifts; desert lizards, clarified butter, and dry cheese. However, Asma' refused to let her in her house and rejected her gifts. 'A'isha went on behalf of Asma' to ask the Prophet (s.a.w) about this.
