Ale-Imran
إِن يَمۡسَسۡكُمۡ قَرۡحٞ فَقَدۡ مَسَّ ٱلۡقَوۡمَ قَرۡحٞ مِّثۡلُهُۥۚ وَتِلۡكَ ٱلۡأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعۡلَمَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمۡ شُهَدَآءَۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
140(Even in defeat there is some hidden wisdom). (Firstly) if you suffered wounds (in Uhud), the dis-believers have experienced similar wounds (in Badr). We rotate (good and bad) days among the people. And (secondly) in order that Allah let those be known who are the true believers. And (thirdly) it was to make some of you martyrs. And Allah does not like the wrong-doers.
