An-Nahl
وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ فِي ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُواْ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمۡ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا حَسَنَةٗۖ وَلَأَجۡرُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَكۡبَرُۚ لَوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ
41And those who emigrated for the Cause of Allah, after they have been wronged, We will definitely give them a good residence in this world (i.e. Madinah Munawwarah), but the reward of the Hereafter will be even greater, if they know.
41The reason for descending the verse
This verse was revealed about the Companions of the Prophet (r.a) in Makkah; Bilal, Suhayb, Khabbab, ‘Ammar, and Abu Jandal ibn Suhayl. The idolaters seized them in Makkah, tortured, and harmed them. Later, Allah (exalted is He) made them settle down in Madinah.” (Al-Wahidi,Reasons of Revelation and As-Suyuti in Lubab)
