About the Surah

       Indeed, as for those who have wronged themselves (by not emigrating from Makkah to Madinah), the angels ask them at the time of their death: “What condition were you in?” They reply: “We were weak and oppressed on the earth (i.e. around Makkah).” Angels say: “Was not the earth of Allah (i.e. Madinah) very spacious for you to emigrate therein?” The abode of such people is Hell – What an evil destination!
