About the Surah

       The hypocrites swear by Allah that they said nothing (bad against the Prophet Muhammad ( may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him ), but really they said the word of disbelief, [since saying anything bad about the Prophet ( may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him ) is disbelief], and they disbelieved after embracing Islam. And they intended [(i.e. hatched the plot to kill the Prophet ( may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him )], which they could not accomplish. And they are taking this revenge, though Allah has made them rich from His Bounty and His messenger too (they should have thanked Allah for it). If they repent even now, it will be better for them. And if they turn away, then Allah is going to inflict on them a painful punishment in this world and in the Hereafter. And they will have no supporter or helper for them on the earth.
