Az-Zukhruf

فَأَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشٗا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

So We destroyed people (due to their mocking) more powerfully than them (i.e. people of Makkah), and example of earlier people has passed (to learn a les-son).
