Fussilat
وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمۡ فَٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ ٱلۡعَمَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمۡ صَٰعِقَةُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡهُونِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ
17And as for (the people of) Thamud, We showed them the Right Path (through the messenger) but they preferred blindness to guidance. Hence, a disgracing torment, in the form of an awful cry, seized them because of what they used to do.
