Fussilat

Indeed, those who say (sincerely): “Our Creator is Allah (Alone),” and they stay firm, the angels will descend on them [(i) at the time of death (ii) in the grave (iii) in the Here-after – Dur Manthur ] (saying): “Don’t fear (horrors of the Here-after), nor grieve (to leave the worldly life). Rather receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised!”

The reason for descending the verse

‘Ata’ reported that Ibn ‘Abbas said, “This verse was revealed about Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (r.a). The idolaters had said, ‘Allah is our Lord and the angels are his daughters; they will intercede with him for us’. This is why they were not upright. The Jews said, ‘Allah is our Lord and Ezra is his son. Muhammad is not a Prophet’. This is why they were not upright. Abu Bakr (r.a) said, ‘Allah is our Lord, alone without partners and Muhammad(s.a.w) is His slave and Messenger’. This is why he was upright.” (Al-Wahidi,Reasons of Revelation)
