Ghafir
كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ وَٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡۖ وَهَمَّتۡ كُلُّ أُمَّةِۢ بِرَسُولِهِمۡ لِيَأۡخُذُوهُۖ وَجَٰدَلُواْ بِٱلۡبَٰطِلِ لِيُدۡحِضُواْ بِهِ ٱلۡحَقَّ فَأَخَذۡتُهُمۡۖ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ
5The people of Nuh (pbuh), and other powerful groups after them, denied (their messengers) earlier. Every (disbelieving) group tried to seize his messenger (and then kill him) and disputed by means of falsehood to refute the truth. Then I seized them (with punishment). Hence, how (terrible) was My punish-ment!
