Yunus
وَمَا كَانَ ٱلنَّاسُ إِلَّآ أُمَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَٱخۡتَلَفُواْۚ وَلَوۡلَا كَلِمَةٞ سَبَقَتۡ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَ
19And all mankind had one religion (i.e. followed monotheism). Then they differed. And if it was not decided by Allah in advance (that the major torment will not be inflicted on idolaters now, rather it will be in the Hereafter), the matter in which they are differing would have been settled (here in this world).
