About the Surah

       And (remember) the compan-ion of the fish [i.e. Yunus ( ) ], when he went away angrily (from his people who refused to believe. He did not wait for Our instruc-tions regarding his journey). So he thought that We shall not be able to seize him. (He was swallowed by a big fish during this journey). Then he prayed through the darkness [i.e. (i) darkness of the belly of the fish (ii) of the deep river water (iii) of the night] saying: “None has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah!), Glorified You are! Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers.”
