Al-Anfal
كَدَأۡبِ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ كَفَرُواْ بَِٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِيّٞ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ
52(Allah does not punish without a crime). Hence the condition of these disbelievers is similar to the condition of the followers of Firaun and other disbelievers who passed before them. They rejected the revelations of Allah, so Allah punished them due to their sins. Indeed, Allah is All-Strong, Severe in punishment.
