About the Surah

       After two divorces to your wife there are two options. Either retain her honourably or release her in a kind manner. At the time of release it is not lawful to take anything (in-cluding bridal money) back from the woman which you have given her except if both of them fear that they will not be able to keep the limits prescribed by Allah. So if you fear that they would be unable to keep the limits prescribed by Allah, in that case it is no sin for either of them if the woman ransoms (frees) herself by (returning part or all of bridal money as long as the amount does not exceed the bridal money). These are the limits prescribed by Allah, so don’t transgress them. And whoever transgresses the limits prescribed by Allah, then they are the wrong-doers.
