Al-Fath
إِنَّا فَتَحۡنَا لَكَ فَتۡحٗا مُّبِينٗا
1Indeed, We have given you [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) !] an obvious victory (by truce of Hudaibiah, since this truce paved the way for the victory of Makkah and a suitable environment for preaching).
1The reason for descending the verse
Anas bin Malik (r.a) said, “We were sad and depressed when we returned from al-Hudaibiyyah because of being prevented from performing the pilgrimage. Allah (glorious and majestic is He) then revealed (O Muhammad a manifest victory), upon which the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, ‘A verse has been revealed to me and it is more beloved to me than the world and all that is in it.’” (Al-Wahidi, Reasons of Revelation)
