Al-Kahf
وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤۡمِنُوٓاْ إِذۡ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن تَأۡتِيَهُمۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ أَوۡ يَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ قُبُلٗا
55And nothing else stopped people from believing, when guidance (the Quran) has come to them, and from seeking Forgive-ness of Allah except that the ways of the ancients be repeated (i.e. destruction), or the torment be brought clearly in front of their faces.
