About the Surah

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Indeed, We sent it (i.e. Quran) down during the Night of Power

And what do you know about the Night of Power?

       The Night of Power is better than a thousand months (i.e. wor-ship of Allah during this night is better than worship done in thou-sand months).

       During this night, angels and Jibrael ( ) descend with the Permission of their Creator to execute His every command.

       (This whole) night is in total peace and tranquility until the appearance of dawn. (i.e. it is not true that only some parts of this night has those characteristics).
