Al-Qamar
سَيُهۡزَمُ ٱلۡجَمۡعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ
45Soon this huge army will be defeated and they will flee towards their backs (this foretelling was fulfilled in the battles of Badr and Ahzab. This punishment is in this worldly life).
45The reason for descending the verse
On the authority of Ibn Abbas that he said,“On the day of Badr (battle) the disbelivers said,‘We all will emerge victorious’.On that occasion Allah revealed this verse.” (As-Suyutiin Lubab)
