بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ
Say: “I seek refuge with (Allah), the Creator of mankind,
مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ
The King of mankind,
إِلَٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ
The God of mankind,
مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ
From the evil of the whisperer (i.e. devil) who runs away (when the re-membrance of Allah is made).
ٱلَّذِي يُوَسۡوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ
Who (i.e. devil) whispers in the breasts of mankind.
مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ
(Those whisperers could be) from jinn or men.”
