Az-Zumar
وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱجۡتَنَبُواْ ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ أَن يَعۡبُدُوهَا وَأَنَابُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ لَهُمُ ٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰۚ فَبَشِّرۡ عِبَادِ
17And those who avoid worshipping false deities and turn in repentance to Allah, they deserve a glad tiding. Hence announce the good news to (My) slaves,
17The reason for descending the verse
Zayd ibn Aslam said, “This verse was revealed about three people who confessed the Oneness of Allah in the pre-Islamic period; Zayd ibn ‘Amr, Abu Dharr al-Ghifari, and Salman al-Farisi.” (Al-Wahidi,Reasons of Revelation)
