About the Surah

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

       The Quraish became used to (of their trade journeys i.e. the hardship of journey was removed due to Allah’s protection for them as residents of Makkah).

In their (trade) journeys (to Yemen) during winter and (to Syria) during summer (due to security and respect given to them as residents of Makkah).

(To thank for this Favour of Allah) they should worship the Creator of this House (the Kabah in Makkah).

(He) Who has fed them against hunger and has made them safe from fear
