About the Surah

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

[O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Have you not seen how your Creator dealt with the owners of the elephants?

Did He not fail their strategy?

And He sent against them flocks of birds.

Striking them with (tiny) stones of baked clay.

So He made them like eaten-up grass (i.e. parts of their bodies were scattered like eaten-up grass).
