About the Surah

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Woe to every slanderer (who blames in the absence of another person).

Who accumulates wealth (due to greed) and counts it (for its love and pride).

He thinks his wealth will stay with him forever (i.e. keep him alive for ever)!

Not at all. He will certainly be thrown into Hell-Fire (which tears apart everything.

And what do you know about this (destructive) Hell-Fire?

It is the Fire of Allah which is kindled (with the Command of Allah).

It directly reaches the hearts (i.e. not limited to surface damage only).

 Indeed, that Fire will be closed upon them from all directions.

In lofty pillars (i.e. Fire is encircled by big pillars).
