An-Naba
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
2 2About the great news (i.e. the Day of Resurrection or the Quran). In which they differ among themselves.
4 4Indeed (It will definitely occur) they will come to know it soon, (i.e. at the time of death or in Barzakh).
5 5Again, indeed (It will defi-nitely occur) they will come to know it soon (i.e. on the Day of Resurrection).
6 6Have We not made the earth as (stable) floor (so that you can sit, stand, rest, walk without it shaking or trembling),
8 8And We have created you in pairs (male and female, day and night etc).
10 10And We have made night as a covering or a cloak (i.e. provided suitable environment for sleeping),
13 13And We have made a shining lamp (i.e. the sun which has its own light. Allah informed about it centuries ago, that the sun has its own light but scientists have discovered it recently). (Also see 10:5, 25:61 and 71:16)
14 14And We sent down plenty of water from water-laden clouds.
18 18The Day when the Trumpet will be blown and you shall come in groups.
19 19And the sky shall be opened, and it will become as gates,
20 20And the mountains shall move from their locations and shall become shining sand (or a mirage).
21 21Indeed, Hell is anxiously waiting (i.e. angels appointed around Hell are waiting for the dis-believers).
24 24They will not taste anything cool (for comfort) nor (cool water to) drink.
30 30“So taste (the result of your deeds). Hence, We shall increase your torment continuously.”
33 33And young ladies of raised breasts (or fully developed breasts) and of equal age (as enviable wives).
36 36Full reward from your Creator (for your good deeds) and (additional) gift according to your level (of piety as benevolence from your Creator).
37 37From the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and whatsoever is in between them, the Most Gra-cious (Allah) with Whom they will not dare to talk (except by His per-mission).
38 38On that Day Jibrael ( ) and other angels will stand in rows, and they will not speak except with the Permission of the Most Gracious (Allah) and will speak the truth only.
39 39That is (indeed) the True Day. Hence, whosoever wills, let him seek a residence (in Paradise) from his Creator (through his good deeds).
40 40Indeed, We have warned you about a torment nearby – the Day when man will see his deeds which he has sent forth and the disbeliever will say (that Day): “I wish I would have been (reduced to) dust.”.
