Ya-Sin
وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلٗا وَنَسِيَ خَلۡقَهُۥۖ قَالَ مَن يُحۡيِ ٱلۡعِظَٰمَ وَهِيَ رَمِيمٞ
78And he gives examples for Us and forgets his own (humble) creation. He says: “Who will give life to those bones when they are decomposed?”
78The reason for descending the verse
The commentators of the Qur’an said, “Ubayy ibn Khalaf went to the Prophet (s.a.w) with a decayed bone and said to him, ‘O Muhammad, do you think that Allah will bring back to life this decayed bone?’ He said, ‘Yes, He will, and He will also resurrect you and cast you in hellfire’. Allah then revealed these verses.” (Al-Wahidi,Reasons of Revelation)
