Ya-Sin
أَوَلَيۡسَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخۡلُقَ مِثۡلَهُمۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
81Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth, Able to create similar (human beings) again? Yes, indeed, He is the All-Knowing Creator. (Also see Surah Ghafir:57)
81The reason for descending the verse
The commentators of the Qur’an said, “Ubayy ibn Khalaf went to the Prophet (s.a.w) with a decayed bone and said to him, ‘O Muhammad, do you think that Allah will bring back to life this decayed bone?’ He said, ‘Yes, He will, and He will also resurrect you and cast you in hellfire’. Allah then revealed these verses.” (Al-Wahidi,Reasons of Revelation)
