يَٰقَوۡمَنَآ أَجِيبُواْ دَاعِيَ ٱللَّهِ وَءَامِنُواْ بِهِۦ يَغۡفِرۡ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمۡ وَيُجِرۡكُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٖ 31

31 “O our people! Obey Allah’s caller [i.e. Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) ], and believe in him. Allah will forgive you some of your sins, and will save you from a painful torment.”

وَمَن لَّا يُجِبۡ دَاعِيَ ٱللَّهِ فَلَيۡسَ بِمُعۡجِزٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَيۡسَ لَهُۥ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءُۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٍ 32

32 “And whosoever does not obey Allah’s caller, he cannot escape on the earth (from Allah’s punishment) and he will have no protector besides Allah. Such are in ob-vious error.”

أَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَلَمۡ يَعۡيَ بِخَلۡقِهِنَّ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحۡـِۧيَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰۚ بَلَىٰٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ 33

33 Don’t you see that Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and was not tired by creating them, has the power to give life to the dead? Yes, indeed. Defi-nitely He is Able to do all things.

وَيَوۡمَ يُعۡرَضُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ أَلَيۡسَ هَٰذَا بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَاۚ قَالَ فَذُوقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ 34

34 And on the Day the disbelievers will be exposed to the Hell-Fire (it will be said to them): “Is this not the truth (since they used to deny it in the worldly life)?” They will say: “Yes, by our Creator!” Allah will say: “So taste the tor-ment, due to your disbelief.”

فَٱصۡبِرۡ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡعَزۡمِ مِنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِل لَّهُمۡۚ كَأَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَ مَا يُوعَدُونَ لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا سَاعَةٗ مِّن نَّهَارِۢۚ بَلَٰغٞۚ فَهَلۡ يُهۡلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ 35

35 [O Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) ! The punishment of  disbelief will be inflicted in the Hereafter]. Hence, be patient as the messengers of strong will were and don’t hasten (to demand torment) for them (the disbelievers). The Day when the disbelievers will see the promised torment, it will appear to them that they stayed in the worldly life not more than an hour in a single day (due to the intensity of the torment). [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) !] This (Quran) is the message (which is your duty) to convey. Hence, none shall be destroyed (in the Hereafter) except the people who are disobedient to Allah.

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ 1

1 Those who disbelieve and hinder others from the Path of Allah, Allah will make their deeds null and void.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَءَامَنُواْ بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡ كَفَّرَ عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّ‍َٔاتِهِمۡ وَأَصۡلَحَ بَالَهُمۡ 2

2 And those who believe and do good deeds, and also believe in that which is sent to Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) , since it is the true religion from their Creator, He will remove their sins and will enhance their (spiritual) condition (in  both the worlds).

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلۡبَٰطِلَ وَأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلۡحَقَّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡ 3

3 That is because the disbelievers follow falsehood and the believers follow the truth from their Creator. Thus Allah describes their examples for the (benefit of) mankind.

فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَضَرۡبَ ٱلرِّقَابِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَثۡخَنتُمُوهُمۡ فَشُدُّواْ ٱلۡوَثَاقَ فَإِمَّا مَنَّۢا بَعۡدُ وَإِمَّا فِدَآءً حَتَّىٰ تَضَعَ ٱلۡحَرۡبُ أَوۡزَارَهَاۚ ذَٰلِكَۖ وَلَوۡ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ لَٱنتَصَرَ مِنۡهُمۡ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبۡلُوَاْ بَعۡضَكُم بِبَعۡضٖۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَلَن يُضِلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ 4

4 (In order to counteract the evil activities of the disbelievers) so when you meet the disbelievers (in Jihad), hit hard on their necks till you thoroughly sub-due them to hold them captives firmly. (Then you have two options) either free them without penalty (out of generosity) or free them with penalty (whatever is best for Islam), until war activities cease. That is (the Command of Allah). And if Allah willed, He Himself would have taken revenge from them (by His torment). But (Jihad is prescribed) so that Allah may test some of you with others. And those who are killed in the Path of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost.

سَيَهۡدِيهِمۡ وَيُصۡلِحُ بَالَهُمۡ 5

5 He (Allah) will guide them (to their destination) and will improve their con-dition (in the grave, in all stages of the Hereafter). 

وَيُدۡخِلُهُمُ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمۡ 6

6 And admit them to Paradise which He has made known to them (i.e. they will know their places in Paradise better than they used to know their homes in the world –Bukhari).

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِن تَنصُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ يَنصُرۡكُمۡ وَيُثَبِّتۡ أَقۡدَامَكُمۡ 7

7 O you who believe! If you help (in the Cause of) Allah, He will help you and make your foothold firm (in the battle field and/or on the slippery bridge). (Also see Surah Al-Hajj:40)

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَتَعۡسٗا لَّهُمۡ وَأَضَلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ 8

8 And there is destruction for the disbelievers and Allah will make their deeds go in vain.

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَرِهُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحۡبَطَ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ 9

9 That is because they hate that which Allah has sent down (the Quran). Hence, Allah has made their deeds null and void.

۞أَفَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ دَمَّرَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ وَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡثَٰلُهَا 10

10 Have they not travelled through the land and seen what was the end of those (disbelievers) before them? Allah destroyed them completely, and a similar pun-ishment will be for the (present) disbelievers.

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَوۡلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ لَا مَوۡلَىٰ لَهُمۡ 11

11 That is because Allah is the Protector of  those who believe while the disbe-lievers have no protector.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدۡخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَتَمَتَّعُونَ وَيَأۡكُلُونَ كَمَا تَأۡكُلُ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمُ وَٱلنَّارُ مَثۡوٗى لَّهُمۡ 12

12 Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do good deeds to Gardens beneath which rivers flow (i.e. Paradise) while the disbelievers enjoy (this life) and eat as cattle eat, and their (real) residence will be Hell Fire.

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ هِيَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةٗ مِّن قَرۡيَتِكَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَخۡرَجَتۡكَ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمۡ 13

13 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) !] And We have destroyed many communities which were more powerful than the commu-nity from which you were expelled. So there was no helper for them.

أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهۡوَآءَهُم 14

14 Is he who is on a clear proof from his Creator, like those for whom their evil deeds are made attractive and they follow their (vain) desires?

مَّثَلُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِي وُعِدَ ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَۖ فِيهَآ أَنۡهَٰرٞ مِّن مَّآءٍ غَيۡرِ ءَاسِنٖ وَأَنۡهَٰرٞ مِّن لَّبَنٖ لَّمۡ يَتَغَيَّرۡ طَعۡمُهُۥ وَأَنۡهَٰرٞ مِّنۡ خَمۡرٖ لَّذَّةٖ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ وَأَنۡهَٰرٞ مِّنۡ عَسَلٖ مُّصَفّٗىۖ وَلَهُمۡ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ وَمَغۡفِرَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡۖ كَمَنۡ هُوَ خَٰلِدٞ فِي ٱلنَّارِ وَسُقُواْ مَآءً حَمِيمٗا فَقَطَّعَ أَمۡعَآءَهُمۡ 15

15 The characteristics of Paradise which has been promised to the pious persons (are as follows). There are canals of water in it which will not become stale, and canals of milk of which the taste will never change, and canals of wine enjoyable for those who drink it, and canals of clear and pure honey. And for them there are fruits of all kinds and forgiveness from their Creator. (Are these people) like those who will reside in the Fire forever and will be made to drink boiling water which will cut up their bowels?
