وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ أَن يُذۡكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسۡمُهُۥ وَسَعَىٰ فِي خَرَابِهَآۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمۡ أَن يَدۡخُلُوهَآ إِلَّا خَآئِفِينَۚ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا خِزۡيٞ وَلَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٞ 114

114        And who will be more unjust than those who forbid remembrance of Allah in the Masajid and strive for their ruin? Such persons should not enter the Masajid except in fear. They will have disgrace in this world and there is a severe punishment for them in the Hereafter.

وَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقُ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبُۚ فَأَيۡنَمَا تُوَلُّواْ فَثَمَّ وَجۡهُ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٞ 115

115        (When the Jews objected the change of Qiblah, Allah answered them. All directions, including) East and West belong to Allah. (Hence, He has the right to fix any direction for Salat. Allah is not limited to any particular direction). Wherever you turn (your face), there is Allah’s Countenance. Surely, Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.

وَقَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدٗاۗ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥۖ بَل لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ كُلّٞ لَّهُۥ قَٰنِتُونَ 116

116        And they say: “Allah has be-got-ten a son.” Glory is to Him. (He is above these things). In fact, whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him and everything submissively obeys Him. 

بَدِيعُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ 117

117        The Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it: “Be!” and it is done.

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ لَوۡلَا يُكَلِّمُنَا ٱللَّهُ أَوۡ تَأۡتِينَآ ءَايَةٞۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّثۡلَ قَوۡلِهِمۡۘ تَشَٰبَهَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡۗ قَدۡ بَيَّنَّا ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يُوقِنُونَ 118

118        And illiterate people say: “Why does not Allah speak to us or why does not a proof (of your Prophethood) come to us?” The (ignorant) people of the past used to say the same thing. In fact, all of them have similar hearts (due to their utter ignorance). (Allah says; you are looking for one proof). Indeed, We have sent many clear proofs for the people who firmly believe (and they attain satisfaction from it).(Also Surah Al-Isra 90-93)

إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ بَشِيرٗا وَنَذِيرٗاۖ وَلَا تُسۡ‍َٔلُ عَنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ 119

119        [O Muhammad (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him )!] Indeed, We have sent you with a true religion so that you may give glad tidings to the believers and warn the disbelievers. And you will not be asked about the dwellers of Hell.

وَلَن تَرۡضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلۡيَهُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمۡۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰۗ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعۡتَ أَهۡوَآءَهُم بَعۡدَ ٱلَّذِي جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِيّٖ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ 120

120        And the Jews and the Christians will never be pleased with you till you follow their religion (completely). (If they demand this). Say: “Indeed, Allah’s guidance is the true guidance.” And if you happen to follow their vain desires after Knowledge (i.e. the Quran) has come to you, then there will be no protector or helper for you against Allah.

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَتۡلُونَهُۥ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِۦٓ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦۗ وَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ 121

121        Those people whom We gave the Book (Taurat) and they recite the Book (the Quran) the way it should be recited (e.g. Abdullah bin Salam). They are the ones who (truly) believe in the Book (the Quran). And those who disbelieve in it are the losers.

يَٰبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَتِيَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَنۡعَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَأَنِّي فَضَّلۡتُكُمۡ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 122

122        O Children of Israel! Re-mem-ber My favour which I bestowed upon you and I gave you preference over all My creatures in the universe (living at that time). 

وَٱتَّقُواْ يَوۡمٗا لَّا تَجۡزِي نَفۡسٌ عَن نَّفۡسٖ شَيۡ‍ٔٗا وَلَا يُقۡبَلُ مِنۡهَا عَدۡلٞ وَلَا تَنفَعُهَا شَفَٰعَةٞ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ 123

123        And fear that Day when no person shall benefit other person, nor compensation shall be accepted from him, nor intercession shall benefit him, nor shall they be helped.

۞وَإِذِ ٱبۡتَلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِ‍ۧمَ رَبُّهُۥ بِكَلِمَٰتٖ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّۖ قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامٗاۖ قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِيۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهۡدِي ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ 124

124        (Remember) when Allah tried Ibrahim (peace be upon him ) with His Commands and he fulfilled all of them. Allah said: “Indeed, I am going to make you a leader of mankind”. Ibrahim (peace be upon him ) said: “And (are there going to be leaders) from my children too?” Allah said: “My promise is not for the wrong-doers.”

وَإِذۡ جَعَلۡنَا ٱلۡبَيۡتَ مَثَابَةٗ لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَمۡنٗا وَٱتَّخِذُواْ مِن مَّقَامِ إِبۡرَٰهِ‍ۧمَ مُصَلّٗىۖ وَعَهِدۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِ‍ۧمَ وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيۡتِيَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلۡعَٰكِفِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ 125

125        And (remember) when We made the House (at Makkah) a place of assembly and safety for mankind. And offer Salat near Maqam-e Ibrahim (situated near the House of Allah in Makkah). And We took a promise from Ibrahim (peace be upon him ) and Ismail (peace be upon him ) to keep My House clean and purified for those who go around it, for those who station themselves there for meditation and for those who bow and prostrate themselves there.

وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِ‍ۧمُ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡ هَٰذَا بَلَدًا ءَامِنٗا وَٱرۡزُقۡ أَهۡلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ مِنۡهُم بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِۚ قَالَ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَأُمَتِّعُهُۥ قَلِيلٗا ثُمَّ أَضۡطَرُّهُۥٓ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلنَّارِۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ 126

126        And (remember) when Ibrahim (peace be upon him ) said: “O Allah! Please make this city a place of peace and safety and provide fruits to the residents of this city who believe in Allah and the Day of Judgement.” Allah said: “I shall let the disbelievers also benefit from it a little bit, and then I shall compel them to the Hell-Fire which is a terrible destination.

وَإِذۡ يَرۡفَعُ إِبۡرَٰهِ‍ۧمُ ٱلۡقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ ٱلۡبَيۡتِ وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلۡ مِنَّآۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ 127

127        And (remember) when Ibrahim (peace be upon him ) and Ismail (peace be upon him ) raised the foundations of Kabah saying: “O Allah! Please accept it from us. In-deed, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

رَبَّنَا وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا مُسۡلِمَيۡنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَآ أُمَّةٗ مُّسۡلِمَةٗ لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبۡ عَلَيۡنَآۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ 128

128        “O our Creator! Make us truly submissive to You and also raise a group from our children submissive to You; and teach us the correct ways of our worship and accept our repentance. Indeed, You (are the One Who) accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.

رَبَّنَا وَٱبۡعَثۡ فِيهِمۡ رَسُولٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمۡۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ 129

129        “O our Creator! And raise a messenger in them from among them who shall recite your revela-tions to them and teach them (the meanings of) the Book and Wis-dom and purify them. Indeed, You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.”

وَمَن يَرۡغَبُ عَن مِّلَّةِ إِبۡرَٰهِ‍ۧمَ إِلَّا مَن سَفِهَ نَفۡسَهُۥۚ وَلَقَدِ ٱصۡطَفَيۡنَٰهُ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ 130

130        And who will ignore the religion of Ibrahim (peace be upon him ) except he who befools himself. We, indeed, distinguished him in this world and he will be among the righteous people in the Hereafter.

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُۥ رَبُّهُۥٓ أَسۡلِمۡۖ قَالَ أَسۡلَمۡتُ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 131

131        When Allah said to him: “Submit.” He said: “I (sincerely) submit myself to the Creator of all the universe.”

وَوَصَّىٰ بِهَآ إِبۡرَٰهِ‍ۧمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعۡقُوبُ يَٰبَنِيَّ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ 132

132        And Ibrahim (peace be upon him ) and Yaqub (peace be upon him ) commanded their children (saying): “O our children, Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion. Hence, don’t die except as Muslims.”

أَمۡ كُنتُمۡ شُهَدَآءَ إِذۡ حَضَرَ يَعۡقُوبَ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ إِذۡ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِيۖ قَالُواْ نَعۡبُدُ إِلَٰهَكَ وَإِلَٰهَ ءَابَآئِكَ إِبۡرَٰهِ‍ۧمَ وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسۡحَٰقَ إِلَٰهٗا وَٰحِدٗا وَنَحۡنُ لَهُۥ مُسۡلِمُونَ 133

133        Or were you present when death approached Yaqub (peace be upon him )? (Re-member) when he said to his chil-dren: “Who will you worship after me?” They said: “We shall worship your God, and God of your fore-fathers, Ibrahim (peace be upon him ), Ismail (peace be upon him ) and Ishaq (peace be upon him ), which is one same God and we shall remain obedient to Him.”
