Order in Al-Mushaf : 18
Ayah number : 101
ٱلَّذِينَ كَانَتۡ أَعۡيُنُهُمۡ فِي غِطَآءٍ عَن ذِكۡرِي وَكَانُواْ لَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ سَمۡعًا 101
101 Those who had a cover on their eyes regarding My remembrance and they could not bear to hear (the truth or the Quran).
Ayah number : 102
أَفَحَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَن يَتَّخِذُواْ عِبَادِي مِن دُونِيٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَۚ إِنَّآ أَعۡتَدۡنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ نُزُلٗا 102
102 Do the disbelievers think that they can take My slaves as their protectors besides Me? Indeed, We have prepared Hell-Fire as an initial welcome for the disbelievers.
Ayah number : 103
قُلۡ هَلۡ نُنَبِّئُكُم بِٱلۡأَخۡسَرِينَ أَعۡمَٰلًا 103
103 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)! Say: “Shall we tell you the greatest loser regarding their deeds?
Ayah number : 104
ٱلَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعۡيُهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَهُمۡ يَحۡسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمۡ يُحۡسِنُونَ صُنۡعًا 104
104 “Those whose efforts in the worldly life have been wasted while they were under the impression that they were performing good deeds.
Ayah number : 105
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بَِٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَلِقَآئِهِۦ فَحَبِطَتۡ أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَزۡنٗا 105
105 “They denied the revelations of their Creator and the meeting with Him (in the Hereafter). Hence, all their deeds became null and void. So We shall assign no weight for their deeds on the Day of Resurrection.
Ayah number : 106
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآؤُهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُواْ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓاْ ءَايَٰتِي وَرُسُلِي هُزُوًا 106
106 “Their reward will be Hell since they disbelieved and mocked at My revelations and My messengers.
Ayah number : 107
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ كَانَتۡ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتُ ٱلۡفِرۡدَوۡسِ نُزُلًا 107
107 “Indeed, those who believe and do good deeds, they shall have Gardens of Paradise as an initial hospitality for them.
Ayah number : 108
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يَبۡغُونَ عَنۡهَا حِوَلٗا 108
108 “They will reside there forever. And they will have no desire to leave that place.”
Ayah number : 109
قُل لَّوۡ كَانَ ٱلۡبَحۡرُ مِدَادٗا لِّكَلِمَٰتِ رَبِّي لَنَفِدَ ٱلۡبَحۡرُ قَبۡلَ أَن تَنفَدَ كَلِمَٰتُ رَبِّي وَلَوۡ جِئۡنَا بِمِثۡلِهِۦ مَدَدٗا 109
109 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Say: “If the sea were ink for (writing) the Words of my Creator, the sea will be used up before the Words of my Creator are finished, even if We bring a similar (sea) to help out.”
Ayah number : 110
قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمۡ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞۖ فَمَن كَانَ يَرۡجُواْ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلۡيَعۡمَلۡ عَمَلٗا صَٰلِحٗا وَلَا يُشۡرِكۡ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَحَدَۢا 110
110 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Say: “I am, indeed, a man like you. (However) it has been revealed to me that your God is one God (i.e. Allah). So whoever hopes to Meet his Creator, he should perform good deeds and don’t make anybody partner in worship with his Creator.”
Order in Al-Mushaf : 19
Ayah number : 1
كٓهيعٓصٓ 1
1 Kaf-Ha-Ya-Ain-Sad (Allah, Alone, knows their meanings).
Ayah number : 2
ذِكۡرُ رَحۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبۡدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ 2
2 (This) describes the mercy of your Creator to His (beloved) slave Zakariyya ( peace be upon him ) .
Ayah number : 3
إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيّٗا 3
3 When he made a supplication to his Creator in low voice.
Ayah number : 4
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ ٱلۡعَظۡمُ مِنِّي وَٱشۡتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأۡسُ شَيۡبٗا وَلَمۡ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيّٗا 4
4 He said: “My Creator! Indeed, my bones have weakened and the hair on my head has grown grey due to my old age. (Under these circumstances I should not ask for children.) And O my Creator! None of my supplication to You is ever unsuccessful,
Ayah number : 5
وَإِنِّي خِفۡتُ ٱلۡمَوَٰلِيَ مِن وَرَآءِي وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٗا فَهَبۡ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيّٗا 5
5 “(Another specific reason for this supplication is that) I am worried about my relatives after me (i.e. they may not serve Islamic cause sincerely) and (I do realize) my wife is barren. (Inspite of all this) grant me an heir (i.e. son) (in some extraordinary way).
Ayah number : 6
يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنۡ ءَالِ يَعۡقُوبَۖ وَٱجۡعَلۡهُ رَبِّ رَضِيّٗا 6
6 “Who shall inherit (my religious knowledge and Prophethood) and also inherit (religious knowledge) of the family of Yaqub ( peace be upon him ) , and O my Creator, make him one with whom You are Fully-Pleased.”
Ayah number : 7
يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ ٱسۡمُهُۥ يَحۡيَىٰ لَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبۡلُ سَمِيّٗا 7
7 (Allah said through angels): “O Zakariyya ( peace be upon him ) ! Indeed, We give you glad tidings of a son, whose name will be Yahya ( peace be upon him ) . We have not made anyone with the same name before.”
Ayah number : 8
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٗا وَقَدۡ بَلَغۡتُ مِنَ ٱلۡكِبَرِ عِتِيّٗا 8
8 Zakariyya ( peace be upon him ) said: “My Creator! How can I have a son, when my wife is barren, and I have reached the extreme old age?”
Ayah number : 9
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٞ وَقَدۡ خَلَقۡتُكَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَلَمۡ تَكُ شَيۡٔٗا 9
9 Allah said (through the angels): “Your (physical) condition will remain so (still you will have a son). Your Creator says: ‘It is easy for Me. (Note that I have done a more extraordinary thing before this, which is) I have created you before, when you were not a thing (worth mentioning)!’”
Ayah number : 10
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَل لِّيٓ ءَايَةٗۖ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٖ سَوِيّٗا 10
10 Zakariyya ( peace be upon him ) said: “My Creator! (Please) appoint a sign for me (when my wife becomes pregnant so that I become more thankful to you for this favour). (Allah) said: “Your sign is that you shall not be able to speak to mankind for three nights (and days) though you will be physically a healthy person.”
