Order in Al-Mushaf : 19
Ayah number : 31
31 “And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be. And He has commanded me to perform Salat and pay Zakat (the poor-due); as long as I live [this is a proof that Isa ( peace be upon him ) is an obedient servant of Allah].
Ayah number : 32
32 “And to be kind to my mother (since he is born without father). And He did not make me an arrogant or unblessed person (who ignores the rights of others).
Ayah number : 33
33 “And peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I shall be resurrected (on the Day of Judgement).”
Ayah number : 34
34 This is (the true story) of Isa ( peace be upon him ) , son of Maryam, about which they doubt (or dispute).
Ayah number : 35
35 It is not befitting for (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. He is Glorified (and Exalted). When He decrees a thing, He says to it: “Be!” – And it is.
Ayah number : 36
36 (Isa ( peace be upon him ) added:) “And, indeed, Allah is my Creator and your Creator. Hence, worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path.”
Ayah number : 37
37 Then the various (religions) sects differed among themselves. So woe to the disbelievers from the Meeting of a great Day.
Ayah number : 38
38 How clearly the disbelievers will see and hear that Day when they will appear before Us. But the wrong-doers are in obvious error today (i.e. in this worldly life).
Ayah number : 39
39 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] And warn them about the Day of regrets (the disbelievers will regret for their bad deeds and the believers will regret why did they not perform more good deeds), when the (final) judgement will be made. And they are careless about it now, and they do not believe.
Ayah number : 40
40 Indeed, We will inherit the earth and everything on it. And they shall be returned to Us.
Ayah number : 41
41 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Describe (the story of) Ibrahim ( peace be upon him ) in (this part of) the Quran. He was very truthful (in his speech and actions) and was a Prophet.
Ayah number : 42
42 When he said to his father: “O my father! Why do you worship the thing which can neither hear, nor see, nor benefit you in any way?
Ayah number : 43
43 “O my father! Indeed, I have received some knowledge (i.e. revelations) which you don’t have. Hence, follow me; I shall guide you to a Straight Path.
Ayah number : 44
44 “O my father! Don’t worship Satan. Indeed, Satan has been disobedient to the Most Gracious (Allah).
Ayah number : 45
45 “O my father! Indeed, I fear lest a torment from the Most Gracious (Allah) should strike you and you become a companion of Satan (in the Hell-Fire).”
Ayah number : 46
46 The father said: “Are you rejecting my gods, O Ibrahim ( peace be upon him ) ? If you don’t stop this, I will, indeed, stone you (to death). You better get away from me safely for a long time (before I punish you).”
Ayah number : 47
47 Ibrahim ( peace be upon him ) said: “I bid farewell to you. I shall pray to my Creator for your forgiveness. Indeed, He is very Generous to me. (Also Surah Al-Furqan:63)
Ayah number : 48
48 “And I shall withdraw from you (physically) and those whom you worship besides Allah, and I shall worship my Creator (with more concentration), and I am hopeful that my Creator will not reject my supplication.”
Ayah number : 49
49 So when he had left them and those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We gave him Ishaq ( peace be upon him ) (his son) and Yaqub ( peace be upon him ) (his grandson) and made each of them a Prophet. [Ismail ( peace be upon him ) was already there before Ishaq ( peace be upon him ) ].
Ayah number : 50
50 And We bestowed upon all of them Our Mercy (by granting them various virtues). Everybody praised them and held them in high esteem.
