Order in Al-Mushaf : 20
Ayah number : 13
وَأَنَا ٱخۡتَرۡتُكَ فَٱسۡتَمِعۡ لِمَا يُوحَىٰٓ 13
13 “And I have chosen you (to make you a Prophet). So listen to that which will be revealed (to you).
Ayah number : 14
إِنَّنِيٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعۡبُدۡنِي وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكۡرِيٓ 14
14 “Indeed, I am Allah! None has the right to be worshipped except I. So worship Me and perform Salat for My Remembrance.
Ayah number : 15
إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخۡفِيهَا لِتُجۡزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسِۢ بِمَا تَسۡعَىٰ 15
15 “Indeed, the Day of Judgement will definitely occur. I intend to keep its timing hidden. It is to reward every person according to his efforts.
Ayah number : 16
فَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنۡهَا مَن لَّا يُؤۡمِنُ بِهَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ فَتَرۡدَىٰ 16
16 “(You should believe and prepare yourself for the Day of Judgement). So let not a disbeliever and who follows his own lusts hinder you from it lest you be destroyed.
Ayah number : 17
وَمَا تِلۡكَ بِيَمِينِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ 17
17 “And what is that in your right hand, O Musa ( peace be upon him ) ?”
Ayah number : 18
قَالَ هِيَ عَصَايَ أَتَوَكَّؤُاْ عَلَيۡهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِي وَلِيَ فِيهَا مََٔارِبُ أُخۡرَىٰ 18
18 Musa ( peace be upon him ) said: “This is my stick. I lean upon it and I beat down branches (of trees) with it for my sheep and I have many other benefits from it.”
Ayah number : 19
قَالَ أَلۡقِهَا يَٰمُوسَىٰ 19
19 (Allah) said: “Throw it down (on the ground), O Musa ( peace be upon him ) !”
Ayah number : 20
فَأَلۡقَىٰهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ حَيَّةٞ تَسۡعَىٰ 20
20 He threw it down and, sud-denly, it became a snake and moved around quickly.
Ayah number : 21
قَالَ خُذۡهَا وَلَا تَخَفۡۖ سَنُعِيدُهَا سِيرَتَهَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ 21
21 (Allah) said: “Hold it (in your hand) and don’t fear. We shall change it to its former state.
Ayah number : 22
وَٱضۡمُمۡ يَدَكَ إِلَىٰ جَنَاحِكَ تَخۡرُجۡ بَيۡضَآءَ مِنۡ غَيۡرِ سُوٓءٍ ءَايَةً أُخۡرَىٰ 22
22 “And put your (right) hand in your (left) armpit. (Then take it out). It will become white (shining) without any defect or disease. This is another sign (of the Oneness of Allah, and of your Prophethood). (Also Surah Al-Qasas:32)
Ayah number : 23
لِنُرِيَكَ مِنۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا ٱلۡكُبۡرَى 23
23 “It is to show you some of Our Great Signs.
Ayah number : 24
ٱذۡهَبۡ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ 24
24 “Go to Firaun! Indeed, he has transgressed (a lot).”
Ayah number : 25
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱشۡرَحۡ لِي صَدۡرِي 25
25 (When Musa ( peace be upon him ) learnt that he is chosen as a Prophet and is to reform Firaun, Musa ( peace be upon him ) request-ed Allah): “O my Creator! Open for me my chest (i.e. raise my courage).
Ayah number : 26
وَيَسِّرۡ لِيٓ أَمۡرِي 26
26 “And make my (this preaching) task easy for me.
Ayah number : 27
وَٱحۡلُلۡ عُقۡدَةٗ مِّن لِّسَانِي 27
27 “And remove the knot from my tongue (i.e. remove its defect).
Ayah number : 28
يَفۡقَهُواْ قَوۡلِي 28
28 “So that people may understand my speech easily.
Ayah number : 29
وَٱجۡعَل لِّي وَزِيرٗا مِّنۡ أَهۡلِي 29
29 “And appoint for me an assistant from my family.
Ayah number : 30
هَٰرُونَ أَخِي 30
30 “Harun ( peace be upon him ) , my brother.
Ayah number : 31
ٱشۡدُدۡ بِهِۦٓ أَزۡرِي 31
31 “Increase my strength with him.
Ayah number : 32
وَأَشۡرِكۡهُ فِيٓ أَمۡرِي 32
32 “And make him my partner in my task.
