Order in Al-Mushaf : 37
Ayah number : 153
أَصۡطَفَى ٱلۡبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلۡبَنِينَ 153
153 Has Allah (then) preferred daughters to sons?
Ayah number : 154
مَا لَكُمۡ كَيۡفَ تَحۡكُمُونَ 154
154 What is wrong with you? How nonsensical is your judgement?
Ayah number : 155
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ 155
155 Don’t you understand this?
Ayah number : 156
أَمۡ لَكُمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٞ مُّبِينٞ 156
156 Or do you have a clear proof?
Ayah number : 157
فَأۡتُواْ بِكِتَٰبِكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ 157
157 So bring your Book if you are truthful.
Ayah number : 158
وَجَعَلُواْ بَيۡنَهُۥ وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ نَسَبٗاۚ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمَتِ ٱلۡجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ 158
158 And they have made a kinship between Allah and the jinn, but the jinn know that (anybody with such faith) will be held (for punishment).
Ayah number : 159
سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ 159
159 Glorified is Allah! (He is free) from what they attribute to Him!
Ayah number : 160
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ 160
160 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (who don’t say like the disbelievers).
Ayah number : 161
فَإِنَّكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ 161
161 Hence you (the idolaters) and those whom you worship (i.e. idols),
Ayah number : 162
مَآ أَنتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ 162
162 (You) cannot lead (anyone) astray,
Ayah number : 163
إِلَّا مَنۡ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ 163
163 Except those who (are predes-tined to) go to Hell.
Ayah number : 164
وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ 164
164 And each one of us (the angels) has a fixed level.
Ayah number : 165
وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ 165
165 And indeed, we (i.e. angels) stand in rows [respectfully, (i) to pray (ii) to hear the Commands of Allah].
Ayah number : 166
وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحُونَ 166
166 And, indeed, we (angels) are engaged in glorifying Allah. (Hence, we are only humble slaves of Allah).
Ayah number : 167
وَإِن كَانُواْ لَيَقُولُونَ 167
167 And, indeed, they (Arab pa-gans) used to say (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)]:
Ayah number : 168
لَوۡ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكۡرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ 168
168 “If We had a Book like the one earlier people had,
Ayah number : 169
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ 169
169 “We would have been, indeed, the sincere slaves of Allah.”
Ayah number : 170
فَكَفَرُواْ بِهِۦۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ 170
170 “But they disbelieved it (the Quran). Hence they would soon come to know (the result of it).
Ayah number : 171
وَلَقَدۡ سَبَقَتۡ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ 171
171 And, indeed, Our promise is already there for Our messengers (in the Clear Book).
Ayah number : 172
إِنَّهُمۡ لَهُمُ ٱلۡمَنصُورُونَ 172
172 That they will, indeed, be given help.
