Order in Al-Mushaf : 37
Ayah number : 133
وَإِنَّ لُوطٗا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ 133
133 And, indeed, Lut ( peace be upon him ) was one of the messengers.
Ayah number : 134
إِذۡ نَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ 134
134 When We saved him and all his family,
Ayah number : 135
إِلَّا عَجُوزٗا فِي ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ 135
135 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind (to be punished).
Ayah number : 136
ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ 136
136 Then We destroyed the re-maining (population).
Ayah number : 137
وَإِنَّكُمۡ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيۡهِم مُّصۡبِحِينَ 137
137 And, indeed, you do pass by them in the morning
Ayah number : 138
وَبِٱلَّيۡلِۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ 138
138 And at night (during your journey to Syria). Don’t you under-stand this?
Ayah number : 139
وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ 139
139 And, indeed, Yunus ( peace be upon him ) was one of the messengers.
Ayah number : 140
إِذۡ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ 140
140 When he fled to the laden ship.
Ayah number : 141
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُدۡحَضِينَ 141
141 Then he joined to cast lots, and he was among the rejected ones.
Ayah number : 142
فَٱلۡتَقَمَهُ ٱلۡحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٞ 142
142 So (by the Command of Allah) a big fish swallowed him and he started blaming himself.
Ayah number : 143
فَلَوۡلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحِينَ 143
143 Had he not been from those who glorify Allah,
Ayah number : 144
لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطۡنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ 144
144 He would have remained inside the belly of the fish till the Day of Resurrection. (Also see Surah Al-Anbiya:87)
Ayah number : 145
۞فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُ بِٱلۡعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٞ 145
145 So We threw him on a bare shore and he was sick (at that time).
Ayah number : 146
وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ شَجَرَةٗ مِّن يَقۡطِينٖ 146
146 And We grew over him a plant of gourd (for shade).
Ayah number : 147
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِاْئَةِ أَلۡفٍ أَوۡ يَزِيدُونَ 147
147 And We sent him to one hundred thousand people or even more (as a Prophet in Nainwa near Musal in Iraq).
Ayah number : 148
فََٔامَنُواْ فَمَتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ حِينٖ 148
148 So they became believers. Then We let them have luxuries of this life (as a blessing of belief) for a while.
Ayah number : 149
فَٱسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلۡبَنُونَ 149
149 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Hence ask them: “Are there daughters for your Creator and sons for them?
Ayah number : 150
أَمۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثٗا وَهُمۡ شَٰهِدُونَ 150
150 “Did We create the angels as female while they were witnes-sing?”
Ayah number : 151
أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنۡ إِفۡكِهِمۡ لَيَقُولُونَ 151
151 Bear in mind that they are fabricating lies by saying:
Ayah number : 152
وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ 152
152 “Allah has begotten children.” And, indeed, they are liars.
