Order in Al-Mushaf : 44
Ayah number : 7
رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ 7
7 The Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you have firm faith.
Ayah number : 8
لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ 8
8 None has the right to be worshipped but He. He gives life and causes death – your Creator and the Creator of your forefathers. (Also see Surah Al-Araf:158)
Ayah number : 9
بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي شَكّٖ يَلۡعَبُونَ 9
9 In fact, they play about in doubt (about the above proofs of the Oneness of Allah).
Ayah number : 10
فَٱرۡتَقِبۡ يَوۡمَ تَأۡتِي ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٖ مُّبِينٖ 10
10 So you wait for that Day when there will be visible smoke in the sky,
Ayah number : 11
يَغۡشَى ٱلنَّاسَۖ هَٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ 11
11 Covering the people. This is a painful torment.
Ayah number : 12
رَّبَّنَا ٱكۡشِفۡ عَنَّا ٱلۡعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤۡمِنُونَ 12
12 (They will say): “Our Creator! Remove this torment from us. We promise to become believers right away!”
Ayah number : 13
أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ وَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولٞ مُّبِينٞ 13
13 How can advice benefit them? And a messenger has come to them with clear explanations.
Ayah number : 14
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوۡاْ عَنۡهُ وَقَالُواْ مُعَلَّمٞ مَّجۡنُونٌ 14
14 Even then they turned away from him [Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] and said: “He is taught (by others), a mad-man!”
Ayah number : 15
إِنَّا كَاشِفُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابِ قَلِيلًاۚ إِنَّكُمۡ عَآئِدُونَ 15
15 We shall, indeed, remove the torment for a short while [e.g. (i) Prophet Mu-hammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for rain in Mak-kah to get rid of famine there and (ii) told Thomamah () of Yamama to reinstate food grain supply for the people of Makkah]. You will definitely revert to your disbelief.
Ayah number : 16
يَوۡمَ نَبۡطِشُ ٱلۡبَطۡشَةَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰٓ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ 16
16 The Day (i.e. day of Badr) when We shall seize you in a big way. Indeed, We are going to take revenge (from you).
Ayah number : 17
۞وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَجَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولٞ كَرِيمٌ 17
17 And, indeed, We tested the people of Firaun before you when they had a noble messenger [Musa )].
Ayah number : 18
أَنۡ أَدُّوٓاْ إِلَيَّ عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ 18
18 (The messenger said): “Hand over to me the slaves of Allah (i.e. the Children of Israel). Indeed, I am an honest messenger sent to you (who doesn’t make any changes in the revelations).”
Ayah number : 19
وَأَن لَّا تَعۡلُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّيٓ ءَاتِيكُم بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ 19
19 “And don’t rebel against Allah. Indeed, I have come to you with clear proofs (of my Prophethood).”
Ayah number : 20
وَإِنِّي عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمۡ أَن تَرۡجُمُونِ 20
20 “And, indeed, I seek refuge with my Creator and your Creator lest you should stone me (to death).”
Ayah number : 21
وَإِن لَّمۡ تُؤۡمِنُواْ لِي فَٱعۡتَزِلُونِ 21
21 “And if you don’t believe me, then just leave me alone (otherwise your crime will become more severe).”
Ayah number : 22
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوۡمٞ مُّجۡرِمُونَ 22
22 (But they still opposed violent-ly). Hence, Musa ( peace be upon him )said to his Creator: “These are, indeed, criminal people.”
Ayah number : 23
فَأَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِي لَيۡلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ 23
23 (Allah said:) “So leave this place along with My slaves during the night and, indeed, you will be followed (by your enemies).”
Ayah number : 24
وَٱتۡرُكِ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ رَهۡوًاۖ إِنَّهُمۡ جُندٞ مُّغۡرَقُونَ 24
24 “And leave the sea at rest (or dry). Indeed, (Firaun’s) army is going to be drowned.”
Ayah number : 25
كَمۡ تَرَكُواْ مِن جَنَّٰتٖ وَعُيُونٖ 25
25 How many gardens and springs have they left behind?
Ayah number : 26
وَزُرُوعٖ وَمَقَامٖ كَرِيمٖ 26
26 And green fields and lovely places.
