Order in Al-Mushaf : 43
Ayah number : 76
وَمَا ظَلَمۡنَٰهُمۡ وَلَٰكِن كَانُواْ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ 76
76 And We did not wrong them but they were the wrong-doers.
Ayah number : 77
وَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّٰكِثُونَ 77
77 And they will cry out: “O Malik (keeper of Hell)! May your Creator finish us (by giving us Death).” He will say: “Indeed, you will reside there forever. (i.e. you shall neither die nor be removed from there).”
Ayah number : 78
لَقَدۡ جِئۡنَٰكُم بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَكُمۡ لِلۡحَقِّ كَٰرِهُونَ 78
78 Indeed, We have brought the truth to you, but most of you hated the truth.
Ayah number : 79
أَمۡ أَبۡرَمُوٓاْ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّا مُبۡرِمُونَ 79
79 Or have they made a firm strat-egy [to harm the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)]? So, indeed, We have made a firm strat-egy too. (Also see Surah At-Tur:42)
Ayah number : 80
أَمۡ يَحۡسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسۡمَعُ سِرَّهُمۡ وَنَجۡوَىٰهُمۚ بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيۡهِمۡ يَكۡتُبُونَ 80
80 Or do they think that We don’t hear their secret talk and private consulta-tion? Yes (We do) and our angels are with them writing down.
Ayah number : 81
قُلۡ إِن كَانَ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ وَلَدٞ فَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلۡعَٰبِدِينَ 81
81 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] Say: “If Allah had a son, then I would have been the first worshipper.” (Since Allah does not have a son, hence the question of worshipping him does not arise.)
Ayah number : 82
سُبۡحَٰنَ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ 82
82 Glorified is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the Creator of the Throne! He is above all that they ascribe to Him.
Ayah number : 83
فَذَرۡهُمۡ يَخُوضُواْ وَيَلۡعَبُواْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُواْ يَوۡمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ 83
83 So leave them engaged in useless talk and play till they see the Day which has been promised to them.
Ayah number : 84
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَٰهٞ وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَٰهٞۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ 84
84 And He is worshipped in the heavens and also worshipped on the earth. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower. (Also see Surah Al-Anam:3)
Ayah number : 85
وَتَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا وَعِندَهُۥ عِلۡمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ 85
85 And Blessed is He to Whom belongs the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, and Who has the knowledge of the Hour (Day of Resurrection), and you (all) will be returned to Him.
Ayah number : 86
وَلَا يَمۡلِكُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَن شَهِدَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ 86
86 And those whom they worship instead of Allah, have no power of interces-sion except those who bear witness to the truth (i.e. there is no god worth wor-shipping except Allah) with knowledge (and practice).
Ayah number : 87
وَلَئِن سَأَلۡتَهُم مَّنۡ خَلَقَهُمۡ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤۡفَكُونَ 87
87 And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: “Allah.” How then do they turn away (from the worship of Allah Who created them)?
Ayah number : 88
وَقِيلِهِۦ يَٰرَبِّ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوۡمٞ لَّا يُؤۡمِنُونَ 88
88 And [Allah is fully aware of Prophet Muhammad’s (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] saying: “O my Creator! Indeed, these are the people who don’t believe!”
Ayah number : 89
فَٱصۡفَحۡ عَنۡهُمۡ وَقُلۡ سَلَٰمٞۚ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ 89
89 [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] So turn away from them and say: “Salam” (or peace, i.e. ignore them). But they will soon come to know about it (as soon as they die).
Order in Al-Mushaf : 44
Ayah number : 1
حمٓ 1
1 Ha-Meem (Only Allah knows their meanings).
Ayah number : 2
وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِينِ 2
2 By this Book (the Quran) which makes things clear.
Ayah number : 3
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةٖ مُّبَٰرَكَةٍۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ 3
3 We sent this Quran during the blessed night. (See Surah Al-Qadr:1) We are, indeed, warning (people about their religious gain and loss).
Ayah number : 4
فِيهَا يُفۡرَقُ كُلُّ أَمۡرٍ حَكِيمٍ 4
4 During this nigh,t all important decisions are made (i.e. decisions of one year are handed over to the angels for execution – Tafseer Ibn-Kathir),
Ayah number : 5
أَمۡرٗا مِّنۡ عِندِنَآۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرۡسِلِينَ 5
5 As a Command from Us. Indeed, We send the messengers,
Ayah number : 6
رَحۡمَةٗ مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ 6
6 By the Mercy of your Creator (so that they explain Our Books to the peo-ple). Indeed, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
