Order in Al-Mushaf : 44
Ayah number : 27
وَنَعۡمَةٖ كَانُواْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهِينَ 27
27 And luxuries of life which they used to enjoy!
Ayah number : 28
كَذَٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَٰهَا قَوۡمًا ءَاخَرِينَ 28
28 Thus (it was)! And We made other people inherit it (i.e. the kingdom of Egypt).
Ayah number : 29
فَمَا بَكَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنظَرِينَ 29
29 (They were so mean that) neither the heavens nor the earth wept for them and their punishment was not delayed (so that they could enjoy a few more days of worldly life).
Ayah number : 30
وَلَقَدۡ نَجَّيۡنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡمُهِينِ 30
30 And, indeed, We saved the Children of Israel from a humi-liating torment,
Ayah number : 31
مِن فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ 31
31 From Firaun. Indeed, he was arrogant and an extreme trans-gressor.
Ayah number : 32
وَلَقَدِ ٱخۡتَرۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 32

Ayah number : 33
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَٰٓؤٞاْ مُّبِينٌ 33
33 And, indeed, We knowingly chose the Children of Israel above mankind and jinn (of that time).
Ayah number : 34
إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ 34
34 And We gave them such signs in which there was an obvious trial for them.
Ayah number : 35
إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوۡتَتُنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ 35
35 Indeed, thay (Quraish of Makkah) do say: “There is nothing except our first death (in this world) and we shall not be raised again.”
Ayah number : 36
فَأۡتُواْ بَِٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ 36
36 “So bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful (in your claim).”
Ayah number : 37
أَهُمۡ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ مُجۡرِمِينَ 37
37 Are they better or the people of Tubba (from Yemen) and (other nations) which have passed before them? We destroyed them since they were, indeed, criminals.
Ayah number : 38
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ 38
38 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them (e.g. plasma), as just a play. (Also see 15:85, 19:65, 20:6, 21:16, 25:59, 29:8, 30:8 and 32:4)
Ayah number : 39
مَا خَلَقۡنَٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ 39
39 We created them with wisdom, but most of them don’t understand it.
Ayah number : 40
إِنَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ مِيقَٰتُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ 40
40 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is a fixed time for all of them.
Ayah number : 41
يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِي مَوۡلًى عَن مَّوۡلٗى شَيۡٔٗا وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ 41
41 That Day no friend will be able to benefit another and they will not be given any help. (Also see Surah Al-Muminun:101 and Surah Al-Maarij:10)
Ayah number : 42
إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ 42
42 Except on whom Allah will shower His Mercy. Indeed, He is the All Mighty, the Most Merciful.
Ayah number : 43
إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ ٱلزَّقُّومِ 43
43 Indeed, the tree of Zaqqum
Ayah number : 44
طَعَامُ ٱلۡأَثِيمِ 44
44 Will be the food of sinners.
Ayah number : 45
كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ يَغۡلِي فِي ٱلۡبُطُونِ 45
45 Like boiling oil, it will keep boiling in the bellies,
Ayah number : 46
كَغَلۡيِ ٱلۡحَمِيمِ 46
46 Like the boiling of extremely hot water.
