Order in Al-Mushaf : 26
Ayah number : 9
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ 9
9 And, indeed, your Creator is All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
Ayah number : 10
وَإِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئۡتِ ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ 10
10 And, indeed, your Creator is All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
Ayah number : 11
قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ 11
11 “The people of Firaun.” Will they not fear (Allah) to become righteous?
Ayah number : 12
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ 12
12 Musa ( peace be upon him ) said: “My Creator! Indeed, I fear that they will deny me (even before completing my speech).
Ayah number : 13
وَيَضِيقُ صَدۡرِي وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرۡسِلۡ إِلَىٰ هَٰرُونَ 13
13 “And I feel stress in my heart and my tongue does not express clearly. So send Harun ( peace be upon him ) with me (because he is eloquent and his speech is clear).
Ayah number : 14
وَلَهُمۡ عَلَيَّ ذَنۢبٞ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقۡتُلُونِ 14
14 “And they have a charge of crime against me. Hence, I fear that they will kill me.”
Ayah number : 15
قَالَ كَلَّاۖ فَٱذۡهَبَا بَِٔايَٰتِنَآۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسۡتَمِعُونَ 15
15 (Allah) said: “No way. Both of you go with Our Signs. Indeed, We shall be with you listening.
Ayah number : 16
فَأۡتِيَا فِرۡعَوۡنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 16
16 “So both of you go to Firaun and say: ‘We are the messengers of the Creator of the universe,
Ayah number : 17
أَنۡ أَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ 17
17 “So let the Children of Israel go with us.’”
Ayah number : 18
قَالَ أَلَمۡ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدٗا وَلَبِثۡتَ فِينَا مِنۡ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ 18
18 Firaun said [to Musa ( peace be upon him ) ]: “Did we not bring you up as a child among us? And did you not reside with us for many years of your life?
Ayah number : 19
وَفَعَلۡتَ فَعۡلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِي فَعَلۡتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ 19
19 “And you did commit your crime, that which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you are a very ungrateful person.”
Ayah number : 20
قَالَ فَعَلۡتُهَآ إِذٗا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ 20
20 (Musa ( peace be upon him ) ] said: “I did it then, while I was ignorant (i.e. I did not intend to kill him and it was before I received this guidance).
Ayah number : 21
فَفَرَرۡتُ مِنكُمۡ لَمَّا خِفۡتُكُمۡ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَبِّي حُكۡمٗا وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ 21
21 “Hence, I fled from you when I feared you. But my Creator bestowed upon me wisdom (and judgement) and made me one of the messengers.
Ayah number : 22
وَتِلۡكَ نِعۡمَةٞ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَنۡ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ 22
22 (Regarding your favour of bringing me up) “And that favours about which you are reminding me. (Contrary to this) you have enslaved the Children of Israel. (You kill their males. You should be ashamed of it rather than reminding me of your favour. Allah saved me from you and brought me up).”
Ayah number : 23
قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 23
23 (Firaun) said: “And what are (the characteristics and virtues of) the Creator of the universe?”
Ayah number : 24
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ 24
24 [Musa ( peace be upon him ) ] said: “He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you are willing to believe.” (i.e. Allah can be described by His Virtues only).
Ayah number : 25
قَالَ لِمَنۡ حَوۡلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسۡتَمِعُونَ 25
25 Firaun said to those around him: “Do you hear what he says [i.e. Musa ( peace be upon him ) is giving a very irrelevant answer]?
Ayah number : 26
قَالَ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ 26
26 [Musa ( peace be upon him ) ] said: “He is your Creator and Creator of your forefathers!”
Ayah number : 27
قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِيٓ أُرۡسِلَ إِلَيۡكُمۡ لَمَجۡنُونٞ 27
27 (Firaun) said: “Indeed. Your messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!”
Ayah number : 28
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ 28
28 (Musa ( peace be upon him ) ] said: “He is the Creator of the east and the west and all that is between them, if you have sense (then believe by this statement).”
