Order in Al-Mushaf : 26
Ayah number : 149
وَتَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتٗا فَٰرِهِينَ 149
149 “And you hew out grand houses in the mountains (arrogantly).
Ayah number : 150
فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ 150
150 “So fear Allah and obey me.
Ayah number : 151
وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ 151
151 “And don’t follow the com-mands of those who transgress the limits.
Ayah number : 152
ٱلَّذِينَ يُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا يُصۡلِحُونَ 152
152 “Who spread mischief in the land and don’t care to reform there.”
Ayah number : 153
قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِينَ 153
153 They said: “You are one of those who are bewitched!
Ayah number : 154
مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُنَا فَأۡتِ بَِٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ 154
154 “You are only a human being like us. Bring us a miracle if you are from the truthful.”
Ayah number : 155
قَالَ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٞ لَّهَا شِرۡبٞ وَلَكُمۡ شِرۡبُ يَوۡمٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ 155
155 Salih ( peace be upon him ) said: “Here is a she-camel (its creation from the big rock is a proof of my Prophethood). The she-camel will have her turn to drink water and you will have your turn to drink water on a fixed day.
Ayah number : 156
وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٖ فَيَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖ 156
156 And don’t touch her to harm, lest the torment of a great Day should seize you.”
Ayah number : 157
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصۡبَحُواْ نَٰدِمِينَ 157
157 So, they killed her and, became regretful (but regretting does not do any good after the signs of torment appear).
Ayah number : 158
فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ 158
158 So the torment siezed them. Indeed, in this there is (an intel-lectual) proof (of the Oneness of Allah), yet most of them are not believers.
Ayah number : 159
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ 159
159 And, indeed, your Creator is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
Ayah number : 160
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ 160
160 The people of Lut ( peace be upon him ) denied the messengers.
Ayah number : 161
إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ 161
161 When their brother Lut ( peace be upon him ) said to them: “Why don’t you fear (Allah)?
Ayah number : 162
إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ 162
162 “Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
Ayah number : 163
فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ 163
163 “So fear Allah, and obey me.
Ayah number : 164
وَمَآ أَسَۡٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 164
164 “And I don’t ask you for reward, my reward is only from the Creator of the universe.
Ayah number : 165
أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلذُّكۡرَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ 165
165 “Do you go to the males of the universe (to satisfy your sexual lust).
Ayah number : 166
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ رَبُّكُم مِّنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ عَادُونَ 166
166 “And ignore those whom Allah has created for you as your wives. In fact, you are people who have transgressed (human limits)!”
Ayah number : 167
قَالُواْ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡرَجِينَ 167
167 They said: “O Lut ( peace be upon him ) ! If you don’t stop (by our verbal warning), you will be expelled (from this community).”
Ayah number : 168
قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَالِينَ 168
168 Lut ( peace be upon him ) said: “I strongly hate your (evil) act (of sodomy). (How can I stop it?)
