۞وَإِذَا وَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ أَخۡرَجۡنَا لَهُمۡ دَآبَّةٗ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ كَانُواْ بِ‍َٔايَٰتِنَا لَا يُوقِنُونَ 82

82 And when the promise (of torment) is fulfilled against them (i.e. when none is left to enjoin  good deeds and forbid from the evil), We shall bring out from the earth a beast which will speak to the people, since the people did not believe firmly in Our revelations.

وَيَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٖ فَوۡجٗا مِّمَّن يُكَذِّبُ بِ‍َٔايَٰتِنَا فَهُمۡ يُوزَعُونَ 83

83 And (remember) the Day when We will gather the people from all the na-tions who denied Our revelations, then they will be put in various groups (i.e. sub-groups of drinkers, adulterers etc.)

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُو قَالَ أَكَذَّبۡتُم بِ‍َٔايَٰتِي وَلَمۡ تُحِيطُواْ بِهَا عِلۡمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ 84

84 Till when they come (before their Creator), and He will say: “Why did you deny My revelations while you did not even understand them fully? Or tell me, what you did (which prevented you to even ponder over My revelations)?”

وَوَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَيۡهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُواْ فَهُمۡ لَا يَنطِقُونَ 85

85 And the promise (of torment) will be fulfilled against them since they have wronged, so they will not be able to speak (to present an excuse).

أَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ أَنَّا جَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّيۡلَ لِيَسۡكُنُواْ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبۡصِرًاۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ 86

86 Don’t they see that We have made the night so that they may rest in it and the day for clear visibility? Indeed, there are signs in this for the people who are believers.

وَيَوۡمَ يُنفَخُ فِي ٱلصُّورِ فَفَزِعَ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ وَكُلٌّ أَتَوۡهُ دَٰخِرِينَ 87

87 And (remember) the Day when the (first) Trumpet will be blown – and all those who are in the heavens and all those who are on the earth will be terrified except those whom Allah wills (i.e. some angels as in Surah Az-Zumar:68 and also in a Hadith – Ad-dur-al-Manthur ). And all shall come to Him, very humble and submissive.

وَتَرَى ٱلۡجِبَالَ تَحۡسَبُهَا جَامِدَةٗ وَهِيَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ ٱلسَّحَابِۚ صُنۡعَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَتۡقَنَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍۚ إِنَّهُۥ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَفۡعَلُونَ 88

88 And you will see the mountains, which you think are firmly seated, flying around like clouds (on that Day). (It is not surprising since) it is the Work of Allah Who has constructed everything strong and perfect (and is Capable of making them weak like wool). Indeed, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do (openly and secretly).

مَن جَآءَ بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡهَا وَهُم مِّن فَزَعٖ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ءَامِنُونَ 89

89 Whoever brings a good deed (i.e. is a believer), will have better reward than what he deserves, and they will remain safe from the terror of that Day. (Also Surah Al-Anbiya:103)

وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَكُبَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ فِي ٱلنَّارِ هَلۡ تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ 90

90 And whoever brings an evil deed (i.e. is a disbeliever), they will be thrown on their faces (headlong) in the Hell-Fire. (And it will be said to them): “Are you not being rewarded for what you used to do (in the world)?”

إِنَّمَآ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ رَبَّ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡبَلۡدَةِ ٱلَّذِي حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَيۡءٖۖ وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ 91

91 Indeed, I [Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] have been commanded to worship the Creator of this city (Makkah), Who has made it a sacred city, and to Whom everything belongs. And I am commanded to be obedient to Allah (in my beliefs and actions)

وَأَنۡ أَتۡلُوَاْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَۖ فَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهۡتَدِي لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِينَ 92

92 And (I am commanded) to recite the Quran to you. So whoever follows the guidance, then, indeed, he follows it for his own benefit. And whoever goes astray, say (to him): “(It does not harm me since) I am only one of the warners, (my duty is only to convey the message).” 

وَقُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُرِيكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ فَتَعۡرِفُونَهَاۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ 93

93 And [O Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)!] say: “All praise and thanks are due to Allah (Who doesn’t punish till He justifies it). He shall soon show you His signs and you will recognize those signs (if not dur-ing life, then at the time of death but recognition and Iman at the time of death are not acceptable). And your Creator is not unaware of what you do.” (Also Su-rah Fussilat:53)

طسٓمٓ 1

1 Taa-Seen-Meem (Allah Alone knows their meanings).

تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِينِ 2

2 These (revelations) are the Verses of a clear Book. 

نَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡكَ مِن نَّبَإِ مُوسَىٰ وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لِقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ 3

3 (Here) We describe to you part of the true story of Musa ( peace be upon him )  and Firaun for (the benefit of) the people who believe (in the Quran).

إِنَّ فِرۡعَوۡنَ عَلَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهۡلَهَا شِيَعٗا يَسۡتَضۡعِفُ طَآئِفَةٗ مِّنۡهُمۡ يُذَبِّحُ أَبۡنَآءَهُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيِۦ نِسَآءَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ 4

4 Indeed, Firaun was extremely arrogant in the land and he had divided his people into many groups. He was very oppressive to one of those groups by kill-ing their sons and letting their females survive. Indeed, he was one of the tyrants.

وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَنَجۡعَلَهُمۡ أَئِمَّةٗ وَنَجۡعَلَهُمُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثِينَ 5

5 And We wished to do a favour to those who were oppressed in the land (i.e. Egypt) and We make them (religious) leaders and inheritors (of land).

وَنُمَكِّنَ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَنُرِيَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا مِنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَحۡذَرُونَ 6

6 And that We give them authority and power in the land and We showed Firaun and Hamaan and their army the (unpleasant event) which they feared (i.e. Children of Israel may overpower Firaun).

وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَرۡضِعِيهِۖ فَإِذَا خِفۡتِ عَلَيۡهِ فَأَلۡقِيهِ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ وَلَا تَخَافِي وَلَا تَحۡزَنِيٓۖ إِنَّا رَآدُّوهُ إِلَيۡكِ وَجَاعِلُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ 7

7 And We inspired the mother of Musa ( peace be upon him )  (stating): “Suckle Musa ( peace be upon him ) , so when you fear for him (from the secret service personnel), then put him in the river (Nile) and don’t fear nor grieve. Indeed, We shall bring him back to you, and shall make him one of (Our) mes-sengers.”

فَٱلۡتَقَطَهُۥٓ ءَالُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ لِيَكُونَ لَهُمۡ عَدُوّٗا وَحَزَنًاۗ إِنَّ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا كَانُواْ خَٰطِ‍ِٔينَ 8

8 Then the family of Firaun picked him up so that he might become an enemy for them and also cause them grief (in the future). Indeed, Firaun, Hamaan and their army were sinners (so Allah destroyed them by this child).
