Order in Al-Mushaf : 36
Ayah number : 56
هُمۡ وَأَزۡوَٰجُهُمۡ فِي ظِلَٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ مُتَّكُِٔونَ 56
56 They and their wives will be in (pleasant) shade, reclining on couches.
Ayah number : 57
لَهُمۡ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ 57
57 They will have (all kinds of) fruits and whatever they ask for.
Ayah number : 58
سَلَٰمٞ قَوۡلٗا مِّن رَّبّٖ رَّحِيمٖ 58
58 (It will be said to them): “Peace be upon you from the Creator (Allah), Most Merciful”. (This Salam of Allah will be conveyed to the people of Paradise by the angels. Others, like Ibn Majah, say it will be directly from Allah to the people of Paradise).
Ayah number : 59
وَٱمۡتَٰزُواْ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ 59
59 And (it will be said:) “O you criminals! Get away (i.e. be sepa-rated) today (from the believers). (Also see Surah Ar-Rum:14)
Ayah number : 60
۞أَلَمۡ أَعۡهَدۡ إِلَيۡكُمۡ يَٰبَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعۡبُدُواْ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞ 60
60 O Children of Adam! Did I not take this promise from you that you should not worship Satan? Indeed, He is, your obvious enemy.
Ayah number : 61
وَأَنِ ٱعۡبُدُونِيۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٞ مُّسۡتَقِيمٞ 61
61 And that you should worship Me (Alone). That is the Straight Path.
Ayah number : 62
وَلَقَدۡ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمۡ جِبِلّٗا كَثِيرًاۖ أَفَلَمۡ تَكُونُواْ تَعۡقِلُونَ 62
62 And, indeed, Satan did mislead a great number of people among you. Don’t you have sense?
Ayah number : 63
هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ 63
63 This is the Hell which you were promised.
Ayah number : 64
ٱصۡلَوۡهَا ٱلۡيَوۡمَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ 64
64 Enter (or burn in) it this Day to receive the reward of your disbelief.
Ayah number : 65
ٱلۡيَوۡمَ نَخۡتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَتَشۡهَدُ أَرۡجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ 65
65 This Day, We shall seal their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs or feet will testify what they used to do.
Ayah number : 66
وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسۡنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعۡيُنِهِمۡ فَٱسۡتَبَقُواْ ٱلصِّرَٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبۡصِرُونَ 66
66 And had We willed, We would have blinded their eyes (to punish them for their disbelief), then though they would struggle hard for the Path, but how would they see? (But Allah did not do it out of His Mercy).
Ayah number : 67
وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمۡ فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ مُضِيّٗا وَلَا يَرۡجِعُونَ 67
67 And had We willed, We could have transformed them (into crip-pled animals or lifeless objects) at their locations (to punish them for their disbelief). Then they would not have been able to move around nor could they have turned back. (But Allah did not do it out of His Mercy).
Ayah number : 68
وَمَن نُّعَمِّرۡهُ نُنَكِّسۡهُ فِي ٱلۡخَلۡقِۚ أَفَلَا يَعۡقِلُونَ 68
68 (Here is a proof of Our Power). And whoever We grant long life, We reverse him to his creation (i.e. he becomes weak like a child. Hence, If we can do that why cannot We transform them to animals?) Don’t you have sense?
Ayah number : 69
وَمَا عَلَّمۡنَٰهُ ٱلشِّعۡرَ وَمَا يَنۢبَغِي لَهُۥٓۚ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرٞ وَقُرۡءَانٞ مُّبِينٞ 69
69 And We have not taught him [Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] poetry, nor is it befitting for him. This is only a Reminder and clear Quran,
Ayah number : 70
لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيّٗا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ 70
70 So that he [Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)] may warn whoever is healthy minded (willing to accept the truth) and to justify the charge against the disbelievers.
Ayah number : 71
أَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتۡ أَيۡدِينَآ أَنۡعَٰمٗا فَهُمۡ لَهَا مَٰلِكُونَ 71
71 Don’t they see that We have (also) created for them the cattle from among the things which We created with Our own hands (i.e. without anybody’s help)? Then they became owners of them (to trade them or make use of them).
Ayah number : 72
وَذَلَّلۡنَٰهَا لَهُمۡ فَمِنۡهَا رَكُوبُهُمۡ وَمِنۡهَا يَأۡكُلُونَ 72
72 And We have subdued (the cattle) for them so that they ride on some of them and eat some of them.
Ayah number : 73
وَلَهُمۡ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُۚ أَفَلَا يَشۡكُرُونَ 73
73 And they have other benefits from them, and they (also) get drink (i.e. milk) from them. Even then, will they not thank (Allah)?
Ayah number : 74
وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةٗ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ 74
74 And they make other gods besides Allah hoping that they might be helped.
Ayah number : 75
لَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ نَصۡرَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ لَهُمۡ جُندٞ مُّحۡضَرُونَ 75
75 (Although) these false gods cannot help them at all. Even then they (the idolaters) are present there as an army of supporters (for these false gods).
